HONOLULU, HI- At its General Business Meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, the State Public Charter School Commission voted unanimously to accept Kona Pacific Public Charter School Governing Board's full resignation and request for a full reconstitution of its governing board, as an alternative to revocation of the School’s charter contract under Hawaii Revised Statutes §302D-17(d)(2)(B), effective immediately.

Additionally, the Commission delegated the authority to the Executive Director and the Chair of the Commission to establish a timely process for full reconstitution pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §302D-17(d)(2).

A Notice of Reconstitution will be sent to all parents and faculty as required by HRS §302D-17(d)(2)(C) and applications for appointment by the Commission to Kona Pacific Public Charter School’s new governing board will be posted to the Commission’s website shortly.
