Read More Hawai‘i Earns Top Preschool Quality Recognition for Fourth YearFebruary 13, 2020 - The Hawaiʻi State Public Charter School Commission today unanimously voted to appoint Deputy Director Yvonne Lau as Interim Executive Director. Lau will start the new position February 20, 2020. Lau takes over leadership of the Commission following the resignation of the current Executive Director Sione Thompson who is moving to the Hawaiʻi Department of Education.
Lau started her career at the Commission as the Organizational Performance Manager in December of 2014 and shortly thereafter was promoted to Deputy Director.
Lau said she looks forward to continuing the great work of the Commission and improving the quality and impact of our public charter schools on our students.
