July 15, 2015

In school year 2016-17 the Hawaii DOE will be implementing a new student information system (SIS) to replace the current eSIS system.  Charter schools had an opportunity to view a demonstration of the new SIS, Infinite Campus ("Campus"), to preview some of the features that had been identified as key functions for an SIS.  The demo was presented live as well as via Webex for remote participants.  The recorded Webex is available here to view or download in mp4 format -- the file is approximately 42 MB.

Registrars and school clerks from DOE and charter schools recently worked together to review and revise enrollment and withdrawal procedures. Starting in SY 2013-14 and continuing through SY 2014-15 various groups met to tackle processes like records transfer, home schooling, free and reduced meals, opening of school year, etc.  The results of that effort are contained in this "Enrollment and Withdrawal Processes and Procedures for Registrars and Office Assistants" reference guide.
